Special Project Manager Job Description

Part-Time (Up to 20  hours/week)
Potential for additional hours

The Special Projects Manager at Impact Hub MSP provides coordination on specific assigned projects that have multi-year operations and engage with two or more partners. These projects are focused on increasing deeper services to Impact Hub members or potential members. Each project has specific named partners, defined outcomes for mission driven entrepreneurs and the community.  

The Special Projects Manager is expected to design and implement assigned special projects.  This includes planning and executing project management processes, supporting partner relationships, regularly reporting to partners, Executive Director and Board of Directors and reviewing and improving assigned projects over time. The Special Projects Manager is part of the staff team at Impact Hub and coordinates with team members on all special projects work.

Community Host

Part-Time (32  hours/week)

Scope of work and responsibilities include:

  • Member services responsibilities
  1. Positively promote and represent Impact Hub Minneapolis-Saint Paul.
  2. Manage a welcoming environment. 
  3. New member recruitment.
  4. Member Onboarding, Engagement & Reporting.
  5. Community Outreach & Engagement
  6. Recruit, Train, and Supervise Volunteers
  • Space management responsibilities
  1. Help develop, implement, organize, and track programs, projects, and initiatives, as needed.
  2. Manage day-to-day physical space operations to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
  3. Engage with space related vendors that serve the basic infrastructure
  4. Provide oversight for security systems, phone systems, cleaning and other providers.
  5. Serve as point of contact for building-related matters for landlords and any tenants. 
  6. Ensure furniture and equipment are in top condition.
  7. Manage supplies ordering and inventory.
