My career has centered on creating and facilitating the development of educational opportunities that solve substantial problems and assist students in creating options-rich futures. This focus has brought me to several frontiers of education across the K-12 and Higher Ed continuum – as a classroom teacher, an interactive and instructional designer, and the executive director of a small, teacher-developed online high school.

I excel at analyzing the disparate parts of a system to identify a problem’s root cause and its genuine solution – whether there is a cognitive barrier to understanding, an inefficient process, an issue of instructional design, or a simple miscommunication with an effect that has been amplified. I cast a wide intellectual net and continually seek out experiences that stretch me to learn and apply new skills and knowledge.

I am a small business advocate with extensive commercial lending experience. I work collaboratively with partners to solve for the financing challenges faced by small business owners across the country. Through these efforts, I have established strong relationships with entrepreneurs, real estate developers, and investors. Together we can create a more equitable lending landscape where small businesses thrive.

I am skilled at developing and implementing lending strategies that connect lenders to borrowers. In 2006, I was named “2% Lender of the Year” by the City of Minneapolis and in 2008 was a Finance and Commerce Top Woman in Finance award winner. I promote open communication between myself, my co-workers, and our clients to generate trust and drive results.

My passion is to empower small business owners by improving access to responsible capital. I am always interested in new ways to achieve this objective and welcome the opportunity to connect with others who are working towards the same goal. Whether you’re a small business lender, entrepreneur, community development professional, or someone looking to support small businesses, send me a note and lets work together to create a more equitable economy for all.
